Microneedling Radio Frequency (MNRF) treatment is a revolutionary skincare procedure that combines the benefits of microneedling with radio frequency energy. This dual-action approach stimulates collagen production, tightens skin, and improves overall skin texture, making it an ideal choice for addressing concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and skin laxity.
Acne scars are more than skin deep. Acne scars have been the bane of teenagers’ existence since they noticed that first spot. Numerous special events have been ruined by the sudden outbreak of pimples, and many a teenage girls have cried long into the night over the thought that the scars on her face are permanent. They can fuel depression and anxiety, and living with them can often be a daily battle with one’s self-esteem.
Thanks to new upgrades in acne treatment, scars related to acne may be a thing of the past, and you can finally be free from your acne scars. Adults who may have long ago given up on the dream of a smooth skin have new hope.
Micro-Needling Radio-Frequency (MNRF) is a 21st century technology that combines the traditional micro-needling procedure (DERMAROLLER) with the element of radio frequency energy. It is the latest technology available for treating acne scars.
Most of the hair are permanently removed. Patients do not see any hair on the treated skin for several months or even years. When the hair regrows, the growth tends to be less. The hair also tend to be finer and lighter in colour.
MNRF is far better than dermaroller or fractional laser. It is totally controlled, with minimal pain and marginal downtime. Unlike laser, it is suitable for all skin types.
SPARSH possesses the best in brand, CELLINA Micro-needling RF system for MNRF.
Acne scars are the dark and sometimes swollen pits left in the skin long after the pimple has healed and are divided into four categories according to appearance and cause: ice pick (small pits), boxcar (scars that have sharp edges), rolling (caused by damage underneath the epidermis) and hypertrophic (raised and bumpy because of excess scar tissue under the skin).
If you have acne papules with nodules, cyst and intense inflammation, you can develop acne scars after the acne subsides.
Acne scars are permanent. However, now there is a chance of relief for teens and adults as it can be treated. You can be free from your acne scars by undergoing scar removal procedures.
Micro-needling radio-frequency, Dermaroller, Laser therapy, Subcision, Matrix, deep Chemical peeling, Dermafillers, Autologous fat grafting etc. are used for treatment of acne scars.
Combination of MNRF, Subcision and Matrix is the gold standard to treat acne scars. While MNRF works best on ice-pick and box scars, Subcision releases epidermis from underlying dermis, thus best for box and rolling scars. Lastly Matrix polishes the skin and removes superficial scars, leaving behind fresh, new looking smooth skin.
In MNRF many fine, sharp needles are penetrated into the dermis, and at tip of it radio-frequency is passed. This will create a dual effect as first it creates hundreds of microscopic channels in the epidermis and dermis, and secondly, it will heat the dermal tissue with radio-frequency. Thus, the dermis will start to regenerate and repair the skin by forming new collagen, new skin cells and enhancing blood supply. This will fill the acne scars, leading to smoother, fresher, brighter, firmer and younger looking skin.
Conditions that can be treated:
No, the area is anaesthetised with topical local anaesthetic before doing the procedure. Patient with sensitive skin may experience mild pain during the procedure.
Of course, MNRF is far better than Dermaroller. Dermaroller works on single principle of micro-needling, where as in MNRF, there are dual modalities in use- micro-needling and radio-frequency. So, results achieved are far better and faster with MNRF in comparison to Dermaroller.
It will take 2 hours. A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to numb the skin and minimize the discomfort for 45 to 60 minutes. Then the procedure is done, which will take about 30 minutes. After procedure, a healing or enhancing serum is applied to boost up the effect, which takes 20-30 minutes.
Usually, acne scar treatment is a tailor-made treatment for each patient. It involves a combination of procedures like MNRF, Subcision and Matrix, to address each type of scar and thus provide the best results.
We recommend at least 2 sessions of each procedure to get maximum benefit. Interval of about 4 weeks is kept between 2 sessions.
After MNRF, your skin will become thick with erythema. It feels tighter and warmer. It will subside in 2-3 hours.
Post procedure, we at SPARSH strongly recommended sun protection. Cover your face when going outdoors and use broad spectrum sunscreen of SPF 30 and above daily. Also we recommended a skin barrier repair cream to be applied for early and better recovery of skin.
It depends on your skin type. MNRF combined with Subcision and Matrix is definitely the better option because,
Yes, MNRF can be synergistically combined with PRP and mesotherapy for acne scars and hair loss treatment.
The side effects of MNRF include inflammation, redness, swelling, sun sensitivity or slight pain. These side effects last for a day or maximum two.
No, MNRF needles penetrate the epidermis and go into the dermis. During these process micro infiltration channels are formed in epidermis for a short time. It does not eliminate the protective barrier of the skin and these micro channels are closed within hours after MNRF procedure. So, there is no long term damage caused to epidermis, on the contrary MNRF encourages the skin to regenerate it making it look younger and healthier.
Usually, you can start seeing the results of MNRF in 4 weeks after the session. Results tend to improve with time. As new collagen is formed in the dermis, you can see improvement in your scars occurring up to 6 months after the completion of the therapy.
Patient with keloidal tendencies, facial warts, history of herpes or patients on medication that would delay wound healing.
Definitely yes. Stretch marks are result of loss of collagen and skin elasticity, while MNRF treats just that.
